The First Home
Owner Grant (FHOG)
scheme is an initiative to help first home owners by providing a
once off $7,000 grant to first home buyers. The scheme was
introduced on 1 July 2000 and is on-going with no end date yet
identified.

The Grant is not
means-tested, nor is it restricted by the purchase price of the
home. To be eligible you must first satisfy certain simple
requirements as set out in the
First Home Owner Grant Act 2000.
